I have one of each, my duaghter is now grown up and my son is 12.

Each has its unique pleasures and concerns.

Girls are fun in that they are girls..they love and nurture a lot, they want to share regularly, they primp and worry..they argue to learn the art for the future, they talk up a blue streak, they cost a fortune to keep clothed...then theres the troubles that come with the breast fairy...thats enough to be scared of having girls...smile!they hopefully grow up to be a women who a mother can share and talk to in a way that girls do.

Boys are loaded with energy (most) from the get go. They tend to be happiest when creating, or destructing. They are cheaper to dress. Most boys dont care about what they look like before teen years come along. They are far more logical creatures than the girls and tend to not run on emotion as much. This makes certain aspects of parenting a boy easier. On the other hand, once a boy has his mind made up there is no reasoning with them, little men..smile!

I think both sexes bring wonderful gifts to the table and I am most thankful to have been blessed with the pleasure of having had both..
