I didn't even know it was ported to Linux, but I've used it on UNIX systems, and yes, it's worthwhile. (Well, assuming you want to know how useless a security system is... it can be kind of depressing...)
actually the UNIX version is what works on linux. only 1 minor change is needed to get it to run, if any change at all.

Anyway... I couldnt get it compiled on my nix box at home. I have a few security scanners that scan for private exploits that a couple of affiliates in Pentaguard coded. One is osiris. It rocks. If somehow you have a chance to grab it, do so.
It scans not only specific IP's/hosts, but it will scan a FULL class B in under a minute.

Heh, its actually both. SAINT and SATAN. Just two different versions. One, you run off of you own system. The other just come across on an HTML page which there servers will intrude.
