Ive done this befor with a CD-rom drive. If your lucky your power unit will have a device very like a circute breaker in it, i know mine dose - if you switch your pc off at the wall then wait for about 3 hours it should reset itself and work again. Its very unlikly that youll have fryed your motherboard, so if this dosent work you can do 2 things replace your power unit $30ish, youll want a 230watt or 250watt if you have a lot of drives and cards, or you could take your power unit along to a tv repair shop and they should be able to replace the the fuse and any other blown components, try and find someone who knows there stuff and it should cost you about $10 if that, I wouldnt recommend replacing the fuse with a paper clip *BOOM*.
Oh and if your PU is an old one Tx style remember black goes next to black on the mobo.
