My two cents...
Win2k works wonderfully if all the hardware and software you have is FULLY compatible with the OS. Most companies have done a good job of offering downloadable driver upgrades to allow recent Win98 or NT users easy upgrading to Win2k.
I've used Win2k on both NTFS and FAT32 and can't notice ant real difference.
During installation, Win2k will run a system check on all hardware and software and report what is not compatible, or needs to be upgraded.
Win2k is very, very crash proof. There is the Blue Screen of Death, but I have not had that one for a long time, pretty much since I have gotten everything upgraded.
I was lucky to be able to get a copy from a special at Purdue University, $5 for win2k pro. And this was legal. But, it might be better to wait for the homeuser version of Win2k. Although everyone would be able to use Win2k, because the ideas are still the same as in Win98, or course. It's just A HELL OF A LOT NICER!!
That's all.

Live In Freedom
In retrospect, I probably should have taken the vanilla icecream. But the chocolate looked far too tempting. Little did I know at the time, it was actually little children all mushed up into a fine icey paste. Needless to say, I didn't sleep well that night, and neither did those kiddies. Well, I didn't stand for such a crime!! NO WAY. I marched back in that store and demamded an explanation. And there is was. Double chocolate icecream. Sitting there, waiting to be ingested. Oh, the taste. Oh the pure orgasmic feeling when you consume the delicious cream. Oh, how I love chocolate icecream.
