Best conversion program from .wav to .mp3?

I have a years old l3 encoder that's a pain in the ass. What's the best program out there to rip files off CDs and make Mp3s?

Bladeenc is the best. Its not warez, its open source. Go to Download.com and look for the encoder

I wasn't necessarily asking for warez. I know that Jukebox does it, I just can't figure out how. And I don't intend to break copyright, it's for my own computer so I don't have to fool with CDs, and so I can mix and match my own CDs as well.
