? Explain this one ?

I recently posted this little thing in a thread that I thought was cute and funny. Well, this morning I received an e-mail from the webmaster of the site I got it from. The letter simply stated: “DO NOT STEAL MY BANDWIDTH”. So I went to remove the code from the page. Paintchips beat me to it. I was unaware that it was redirecting the page. Anyway, I’ve made my apologies to everyone. What’s been troubling me however, is how they got my e-mail address. I’m at a totally loss. I’m behind a firewall, my isp is not in my name, and I’m running Norton. I just don’t get. Perhaps someone could explain this???

i would guess he saw the thread url in his server logs, checked the thread, looked at your profile, went to your homepage and got the email address there. if youre email address isnt in any of your links then i dont have a clue, unless he contacted a mod and the mod gave them your email which we wouldnt do.

Dingle is on the case.

That is exactly what happened.

I know from the logs of my websites that I administer I can tell what time what image or page was requested and what the referring URL was...

I can then go to the website and look at the referring URL and usually find out who did it and send them a message (or block that domain altogether).
