Here's more proof that there's room on the Web for just about every
oddball idea: a group of scientists from the Applied Physics Group at
the University of Essex in England has posted "Britney Spears' Guide to
Semiconductor Physics."
The Web site gives visitors the chance to vote on what
"semiconductor or telecommunications development" would bring
contentment to the title character in her song "Lucky."
Elsewhere on the site, which has won kudos from Scientific American
magazine, Spears "will guide you in the fundamentals of the vital laser
components that have made it possible to hear her super music in a
