also, have you heard the Luke Vibert/BJ Cole album? a mix of electronic and slide-guitar/Hawaiian-type music. the end result is very cool.

If you play the inst. side of Mos Def's 'UMI says' on 45rpm (rather than 33)

Is it a live sort of joint ?

There was a limited edition tape circulating of the first night of Progression Sesions @ Turnmills in London, i played my copy till it snapped. It had real atmosphere.

Saw LTJ last month @ the Minestry of Sound he was good but Blame stole the night for me. Wrong venue for d&b though.

I'm not sure if it's live. It comes in a 2-cd set, one's instrumental and the other has MC Conrad on it.

isn't LTJ playing at some place with Photek this month? I forgot where, hmm.. used to know a site that had show dates and who was going to be playing.

Hey, s.m, what's up? The thread must not die, even cross-forum! I shall check out the Cylob update, haven't heard that Vibert (yet), sounds twisted.

There's been a few good DnB gigs here in Denver in the last couple weeks, I saw Aphrodite at Red Rocks a couple fridays ago, with BT and Oakenfold. Oakie stole the show, though. I've never been much of a trance- head, but seeing it outdoors, with all the lasers, 50,000 watts of acoustically perfect bass thanks to the giant sandstone formations, and 8000 screaming kids, I was blown away.

Last Thursday Konflict (Renegade Hardware) spun at the Snake Pit, the local upscale underground-type bar. Fuck, that guy is brutal! lots of Amen abuse, sci-fi basslines. And all his dubplates are on 10" vinyl. Cool.

Unfortunately, the rest of the summer looks a little dull, live-wise. Take it where you can get it, I guess.
