Type O Negative photos

I shot the Type O Negative show here on Saturday and I have gotten some of my stuff back. Maybe this should go in the Images forum, but whatever.

I am trying to decide if I wanna do the Clutch/Corrosion of Conformity show that's coming up, I think I am going to shoot Disturbed again though.

nice stuff.

peter steele looked like he was getting a bit of a paunch a couple of months ago. I guess he's not. fuck.

I've never seen COC live but for some reason I doubt they put on the greatest show. I don't know why

those are really nice pics. and i saw the other ones that you posted awhile back. do you have some kind of press pass or something? how do you get away with taking these? enquiring minds wanna know!

plus, could you let me in on what kind of equipment you use?

Thanks! No press pass, I just happened to know someone who knew a lady that takes concert photos. I asked about it and she told me to contact the guy that does the booking at the local metal club. I did, and it turns out that he usually needs someone to come out and shoot shows. The upside is that I get in for free, I get in before the general public, I keep the rights to the photos and I get to meet the bands (although that part is outside afterward like everyone else). The guy gives me a little for developing every now and then. The downside is that I don't make anything doing it, it's just for fun right now. I have only photographed three shows so far, but it is a lot of fun. I use a Nikon 6006 with some zoom lens and big flash (I am actually pretty camera stupid, the camera outfit is a christmas present that my dad never really got into so I have 'borrowed' it). I use Photoshop to straighten/color & contrast correct/get rid of dust & scratches/add tint (the green photo above). I have been using 800 film because it's good in low light, except it is very grainy, so I need to go to something like a 400. The black and white is all 400 and comes out well, it's the new Kodak 'process anywhere' black & white which can even be done at one hour places.
