Mark Lanegan, without a doubt.

His new album came out at the beginning of the month.

He was once the vocalist for the Screaming Trees.

He could sing the list of ingredients off a box of cereal, and you would believe it to be a profound revelation. A tremendously honest voice, like johnny cash or neil young. The man smokes about a pack an hour. Both times i saw him, when he wasn't singing, he was either taking a drag off of a cigarrette or a pull off of the hard liquor.

His cover of Lennon's "Working Class Hero" is exceptional.

His whole catalog of solo work is exceptional, Especially the Whiskey for the Holy Ghost album.

his voice makes other singers jealous.

one time this radio station gave me a godsmack CD for winning some contest.

I sold the CD at a garage sale for three dollars after listening to it two or three times. If i hadn't listened to it, i probably would've asked for more money, but i felt i was ripping somebody off just for making them pay for that utter shit.
