Ideas. Probably been said before, but let's have them all in one place.

• Change the battleship grey? Makes me want to slit my wrists sometimes (not that that's going to happen, so you're all out of luck)
  
• A 'who's online' hack? That would be useful
  
• Also the ICQ who's online thing perhaps?

we are building a new front page, when that changes forum colors will change to match the main page. Not sure if youll like the new colors though, almost equally depressing (brown) but just wait and see.

i have many hacks planned for the bb, including what you mentioned and whats more, but they may be a ways in the future as we are working on some big changes.
if anyone else has specific ubb hacks theyd like to see feel free to post em, id like to get an idea of what people want...

I dunno.. I kinda like the grey.
I mean, it's sposed to be an asylum or something isn't it?

Maybe a padded-wall background or something.. make me feel more at home

I like the "who's online" ideas.. they are handy.
The only thing I REALLY don't want is for it to become technical... too much flashy shit annoys me.

PLEASE don't make it brown though. I HATE brown. *screams and kicks things*

ummm........ a decent PM thing would be alrite, make it more noticeable though.

That's about it, besides making me a mod.

Okay. I'm on 30 hours w/o sleep now, so as you may guess I am thinking much more lucidly now.

Firstly, "rock pang". I like that. No idea why, but I like it so much I'm going to take it home and call it charlie. How often do I have to feed it?

And now, a continuation. I'd say 'Ideas cont'd' like the professionals do, but cont'd sounds like cunted to my eyes, and it makes me laugh and loose track of what I was trying to say.

Where was I? ... Oh yes.

• Perhaps it's just me, but when I come back after shutting down the browser I have to stick in the username and password again. After that, it's fine for a session. Any chance of getting the cookie shit sorted, assuming it's a common problem
  
• Fucking lazy, aren't I?
  
• Not fussed on the PMs myself. Used them infrequently, but this is why Al Gore invented e-mail, isn't it?
  
• Make the UBB code tutorial more visible. Time and time again we get 'how do I post images' type questions. If the tutorial were doing its job, we'd only get these posts from the truly hard-of-thinking and they would single themselves out for future abuse from me. Although I don't know how. I can see it right now, on the left of the screen. Perhaps make it h7 and all red and flashy
  
• Perhaps not. Fuck. You all know what I mean anyway
  
• We need a smiley in there which shows a completely disinterested 'your post sucks ass and I'm only replying to tell you this' face
  
• Make the little flaming folders work right? Again, it could be only me, but in both nutscrape and exploder, they don't do their job. Loging on and off, going forwards and backwards. Who knows what colour they will be? Same goes for the little watches which show when there has been activity since you were last there. Ca ne marche pas, mon ami
  
• The mods of every forum should have special powers. Give them 1 credit per week with which they can punish the most dickless topic / reply in their forum. TLF would need about 2 credits per mod there are so many on a daily basis. I don't know how they could be punished. I'm the ideas man here, remember? I've just come up with it, so you run with it and make it all good and shit. Punishment should be good and public, just to give us all a laugh

Or: yes, I'm already set up that way and it makes no odds, preferences or no.

I'm not sure what the problem is. In any case, it's obviously just me so let's not worry about it. With both IE and NS I have to enter my nick and pass at the start of each browser session - after that it's fine. Very weird, but it won't kill me. It's obviously some 4D-x-type II whammy bar issue I don't know about. Where's paint when you need him, eh?
