we actually did that for a while at spf, and no one really used it. our emails are listed for those of us who dont mind corresponding.

I'd really like to see a functional personal messaging system reintroduced. As I recall, you had to back out of the forum, log in, go into your profile, and then click personal message--just to see if you had anything! So of course this feature wasn't used. It was a royal pain in the ass!

I'd love to see an icon alongside the current view profile, send email, edit, and reply icons that would allow me to send personal messages. And rather than going into my profile, just put any personal messages I receive right on the screen as I come into the forum.

Lastly, maybe I'm alone here but I gave up on my hotmail account months ago. Between the porn adverts, real estate deals, and credit card offers, that account's a joke. Of course, I have other functioning email addresses too--but they're work-related and I'd like to keep my forum and work stuff separated.
