hey mods...

i was looking through the images o' deskanktity, and bumbled across the "asylum scrapbook" thread. you know, the one that's like sixteen pages long? well, alot of the photos in the thread are now lil' red X's due to people taking them down from their websites or whatever. i was wondering if you could perhaps create an area FOR us to post pics, since people are rather not likely to look into every...single...profile. what i was thinking was this: maybe creating a webspace to host pics, so that two months from now, the photo would actually still be there! a new concept, i know, but just hang on, there's more. since people actually LIKE to comment on the pics, maybe linking this space to the suppository. that way, when someone posts their pic, they can comment on it (this is me, my dog, my dildo, etc). the benefits would be: A) new people won't be so frustrated over the fact that a thread (that is obviously still interesting to people since it's still open and topped), would actually have pics that WORK, and B) since you'd have to BE in the suppository to comment on the pics, it would hopefully generate some interest in that forum. hmm? yes? no? fuck off?

we are then moving into webhosting for all the different members and stuff... which would be really difficult to tie in...

unless you mean one big generic webspace?

Well, either way, and I am by no means a tech expert, it would be a big pain in the ass I am guessing, for very negligible benefit.

There are like a thousand places on the net that host space for people to upload pics to. Solid ones too. I use http://www.egroups.com myself. Haven't had a problem in the 3 or 4 months I have been using it.

So I guess the point is is that if people are too lazy to find a reliable place too post pics from, they would probably be too lazy to do it here. Besides, when it comes to allocation of server space, there would be a lot of better places that bandwidth could be spent.

Again, my layman's take on the technical stuff. But I would seriously doubt if we ever decide to do this. I just don't really see the benefits.
