Question

OK mods, I just updated my profile and linked a new image from my tripod account (replacing an old one) but all I see is a red X.

What the hell am I doing wrong? I am going to try a test image here to see if it works.



And before anyone makes any assumptions, no I do not have some weird preoccuopation with death. Puffy's comic book superhero thing just reminded me of a comic book I used to collect called Deadman.

My handle is just a Tool lyric and I've had it 6 months now and I'm not going to change it now and I know this is a run-on sentence and somebody please explain the reason why I can't update my profile and I never start topics so respond or I just might begin starting topics as lame as this one.

Edit: Another red fucking X. I just uploaded these images and tripod let me so my account can't be ganked, right? WTF?

tripod appears to be one of those annoying places were you cannot direct link images. If you go to the url the image will show up and then get cached so when you come back to the post it will show up.

I changed my network settings earlier and I am just curious if that affected anything.

I know you have had trouble in the past with these free web storage places. Fucking nazis, I rape there space to store my crap and they get all huffy that I don't make a webpage for their banners. Yes?

Dead - to be honest it looks like your account is shafted - i cant find the image at all - even if i put it direct in the browser or try and get to your main site - it doesn't work.

*shrug* if you mail it me i'll host it on my (unlimited) web space for ya.

My images always worked before. (I think)

Thanks aminal, I will look into this more tommorow and try to figure out what is going on.

Could my logon name change have affected anything? Grrr, I will figure it out.

I can see the image just fine with http:// on my browser. no accounts have been shafted as far as I can tell. here:

OK, thanks for the responces.

I have no idea why I was having problems. Two possible reasons.

A.)tripod was just down and not linking.

B.)I had moved most of my images to a new directory in my online file manager and they just didnt work after that. I moved them back out to the main file and they seem to work now. I think.
