A night at the marching band competition ...

Sometimes Asylum just stays with you, like a piece of toilet paper stuck to your shoe ...

The opening band did music from "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat". I thought I had dropped acid.



This band played "Russian Christmas Music" - Redguard, of course.




Later, music from the ballet "Spartacus". Chelle - you shoulda been there.

I know it's hard to pick out, but each of these girls is actually wielding a six-foot bull whip (no, it's not a fertility dance). This was actually a high point of the evening - thanks Joey. (For some reason, sp00ky came to mind too.)



This band is playing music from the "Wizard of Oz" - in this picture it was "If I only had a Brain" ... you can fill in the blank yourself.


They transitioned into the title theme, and came out with this garish banner that covered the entire band ... a lot of flash for an otherwise mediocre band ... another reference I'll leave open ....



This group did selections from "Les Miserables" ...dedicted to The French, the only 'real' frog I know of here.


And a lot of hot air (you don't really think I'd mention wonderaz here, do you?) ...



Many other references, but alas, too busy listening to take more pictures. Maybe next week

i hate bands that do theme shows, its just to make up for a lack of talent and bad fundimentals. i'd be willing to bet there wasn't a rollstep in sight when they were doing thier little spartacus dances.
