Yeah, I've seen them, some have been in sigs here too ... btw, the last one should be:

"It's been swell but the swelling's gone down", or,

"It's been swell but the swelling has gone down", or,

"It has been swell but the swelling's gone down", or,

"It has been swell but the swelling has gone down".
