EXTRA! EXTRA! Closet Klepto Can't Consume Confederate Corn!

A few blocks from my house, some assholes have confederate flags hanging on the front and side of their house. They also have corn stalks growing in their flower planter on their porch (how quaint, assuming "quaint" means "backwards in an agrarian sort of way"). Well, I stepped out to run down to the pub for a beer and I noticed that the corn is finally... ripe. I promised myself that I would drink enough at the bar to be able to pilfer their aryan produce on the way home. It turned out that the bar had closed (at only 1 am? on a saturday?). So I just decided to walk around the waterfront by the lake. Instead of enjoying the scenery, I couldn't stop obsessing on the nazicorn. I kept imagining this corn, stunted as it is, nurtured by Copenhagen spit, Natural Ice, and pure racial hatred. But I imagined it steamed, with a little butter and johnny salt. mmmmm...

the moment of truth came, and I balked. I don't know why. I've committed principled acts of inebriated vandalism in my neighborhood before, on a slightly grander scale, but this time I couldn't do it.

Should I wait for the corn to maybe get bigger? The growing season ends soon. There's a big racist trial starting monday, a few blocks further down the road. Should I go back and do the job right? should I take all the corn? Is it really wrong to do so? I know it's illegal, but that's irrelevant.

Leave em alone. (Though some steamed corn would be good!) I fly a confederate flag on memorial day myself, just because my family was in the Confederate Army and their contribution to their homeland shouldn't be forgotten. It represents a failed dream and in it's own way was a extension of the American way. To challenge any that stand before you had hold you back. It deserves respect for what it is. A symbol of human spirit. People died for it and I for one won't forget their sacrifices.
And no, W.P. I'm NOT a skinhead nazi. I've just got a skewed opinion, remember?

My family moved here to Tennessee from South Carolina because during the Civil War their farms were destroyed by maurading union troops. They were refugees and their slaves moved with them to escape the oppression of the north. In fact, many black families still live here in my town that originally came with my ancestors. I will continue to fly my Confederate flag because it means something to me. Celebrate failure? No, to me it celebrates courage in the face of insurmountable odds. Of course the south didn't have a chance. But by God they didn't go down without a fight. What if Washington had said of the Revolution, "Oh fuck it. We're outnumbered. Lets just stay loyalists." Sometimes one has to sacrifice all to stand up for his beliefs.
And as for dueling, that is way older than America itself. If we could do it today I think it would be a good thing. It would settle alot of disagreements. Besides, what is more American than the old west shoot out? Isn't that a extension of dueling?

The war had dick to do with slavery and you know it! The leftist public schools pour that into the minds of this nation's children and morons like you sucked it up. The south was progressing into the modern era along with the north. The south was behind due to the fact that it had not been settled as long as the north and lacked all the immigrants the north had to work at making it a richer place. (Look at the history books. immigration soared during the civil war. As well, most of the union forces were newly arrived immigrants.) The north had the materials and man power to pour more energy into the fight than did the south.
The war had to do with states rights. Each state originally had it own say so in how it ran things. One of our biggest problems now is the fact that the federal government has to stick it's nose up everyones ass and dictate how things are going to be. This country was not put together originally with that in mind. It's why we left England in the first place.
With your stupid ass little story you downplay the importance of the fact that PEOPLE DIED for what they believed in. Should they be entirely forgotten because they lost? Would you say the same thing to a indian when he speaks of his people's plight? In your mind, should we destroy all references of the flag? "Cleanse" the history books of it? If so, how Stalinist of you! Those that turn their backs on history have a bad habit of the same old shit comimg back and bitting them in the ass.
Say what you want but I'm proud of my family's contribution both to the Confederacy as well as our struggles in the world wars. And just because you don't care won't make me respect them any less.

That makes you look even more stupid. You are being just as ignorant as you say he is by telling him he is wrong for what he believes in. The confederate flag is just that a flag, it can mean to anyone whatever they want it to mean. You see it as a symbol of rasism, he does not. Isn't that good enough for you?
