Well said.
And a way of thinking about things I have never thought about before, a perspective I have never taken until now.
Thanks for that.
And good to see you back in action.

Yes, I've pondered these things, too, Redguard. Is our universe merely a subatomic particle in an incomprehensible gnat on the vast ass of an even more incomprehensible elephant?
So to speak.
Having you back is good. Very good. Amen.

Ahh, Redguard. Truly a comrade-in-arms.
Yes, I too have oft pondered the interconnectedness of reality. But I feel that there may even be something beyond gravity's constant particular influence and Einstein's little point about all matter being Energy. I think Hinduism's formulation of Universe contrues all that is as coalescions of Void, which is best described as all that is, was, and will be = energy.
Consciousness. Yes, the beautiful, astounding, mind-boggling characteristic of mind itself. Why is it that we seem to embrace a perspective that can recognize physical connectedness yet fails to ascribe this power to the mental energies? What we believe shapes the world we inhabit; the world we inhabit shapes what we believe. To truly comprehend the power of this interaction conveys an immediate sense of responsibility to me. We must learn that what we think, how we think, why we think matters.
We are what we are, so let's be something good.

Yes.

And little whorls have lesser whorls,
And so on, to viscosity.

My brother Redguard, you stimulate my iconoclastic mind. As always, your words paint compelling images...but what of the individual?
What of the man who looks upon the interconnectedness and says "I REFUSE!" What of he who would choose solitude and silence for his companions, eschewing the teeming throngs as unnerving and uncomfortable? Not everyone finds desirable the constant background noise created by the masses surrounding.
One wonders...where has this creature a place? Is there any?

Rogue, You mean the individual who denies his species, right?
What of the species, or the culture within it, who denies all things natural?
A beautiful piece of writing indeed Redguard, yet it doesn't stop me from feeling like an evil little cell, within a nasty tumour, leeching the life from a beautiful planet.

I feel just awful interrupting your circle jerk here guys.
I mean, I really like your stuff, Redguard. Favorite author and all that (I'll stop before the helmet hits my tonsil and I choke).
But lets face it. Banal or perhaps, trite spring to mind.
Not a great piece I think. Too done already.
Or mayhap I just feel a tad cynical this even and the iconism that surrounds you sours my opinion.
Muchos respect to slight if this was what pissed you off on SPF.
A tad too saccharine for my taste.
(BTW it is nice to see you back around here, Red)

RW- You perhaps miss the point (again;-)). Interconnectedness doesn't mean you have to play ball with the masses, but rather that everything you do affects others, just as everything they do affects you. If nothing else, your absence contributes to an outcome that would be different than had you participated.
Even if we choose not to decide, we still have made a choice.
Sorry to break this to you, RW, but you are stuck with us. You can't reject interconnectedness anymore than you could reject gravity.

I live in the woods, Nutrimentia. We still don't trust that newfangled invention FIRE yet...I'm not ready to try out that "gravity" stuff. Looks like witchcraft to me. I REBUKE YOUR GRAVITY!! NYAAAAH!
