Paint, I don't think you were quite "nekkid", at least as I understand the term, i.e., I figure you had your little package covered even though you had your underwear yanked up the crack o' yer ass like Injun drawers, but I damn sure wasn't lookin'. Hell, my main concern, as I said, was over anyone else seein' you. People in places like Marfa, Texas, take to Strange dress and behavior a little differently than folks do in, say, San Francisco.
Seriously, Paint, do stay different.
*Together, again.
My tears have stopped falling.
The long, lonely nights,
Are now at an end.
The key to my heart,
You hold in your hand.
And nothing else matters,
We're together, again.
Together, again.
The grey skies are gone.
You're back in my arms.
Now, where you belong.
The love that I knew,
Is livin' again.
And nothing else matters,
We're together, again.
And nothing else matters,
We're together, again.*
Ya know, people can laugh at Buck Owens all they want. Frankly, I've never been a particular fan of his, or of country music in general, for that matter.
But, consider the above lyrics. I can only dream of ever achieving the heart and emotion he conveys with such honest, bare-bones simplicity. Amen.
