Thank you both, Wonderaz and JEB. That was fucking hilarious.

Your imagery is brilliant. Sucking farts out of freds ass. Acidic fred piss in paints watergun. Dancing about singing.

Very good stuff.

The funeral procession was my favorite though.

hehheheheheheheheh. That was great.

One thing though:

"I couldn't rightly say little Paint was a bad lad, but he was different, that was fer sure. That morning, since Wonderaz was nowhere to be found, I got him up and told him to get dressed. Well, he did . . . in a fashion. I'll put it like this: If gettin' "dressed" means wearin' little cowboy boots, with yore dinky drawers pulled up the crack o' yore scrawny li'l ass, and a Batman's cape tied around yore neck then, yep, he was "dressed"."

1. I still dress like that.

2. What was I doin' in the cab of your pickup truck naked? Exactly how much had you drank the night before?

You weren't nekkid nekkid, you were just skrawny assed and purt' near nekkid which was the case no matter what season it was.

No sense in asking how much he drank the night before. That would be like asking Fred to read from the Good Book. You would get the same blank look and that's about all.

Always an adventure keeping track of you two.

It is kind of a vicarious biography. I get to see what life would have been like for myself if I hadn't made certain decisions along the way.

Not sure if those were the right or the wrong decsions yet though. Keep the stories coming.

Paint, I don't think you were quite "nekkid", at least as I understand the term, i.e., I figure you had your little package covered even though you had your underwear yanked up the crack o' yer ass like Injun drawers, but I damn sure wasn't lookin'. Hell, my main concern, as I said, was over anyone else seein' you. People in places like Marfa, Texas, take to Strange dress and behavior a little differently than folks do in, say, San Francisco.

Seriously, Paint, do stay different.

*Together, again.
My tears have stopped falling.
The long, lonely nights,
Are now at an end.

The key to my heart,
You hold in your hand.
And nothing else matters,
We're together, again.

Together, again.
The grey skies are gone.
You're back in my arms.
Now, where you belong.

The love that I knew,
Is livin' again.
And nothing else matters,
We're together, again.

And nothing else matters,
We're together, again.
*

Ya know, people can laugh at Buck Owens all they want. Frankly, I've never been a particular fan of his, or of country music in general, for that matter.

But, consider the above lyrics. I can only dream of ever achieving the heart and emotion he conveys with such honest, bare-bones simplicity. Amen.

I've got this word association thing going and I went from "Together Again" to Buck Owens to "Dueling Banjos" (come on, you've all seen Hee-Haw, right?) to Roy Clark to "Thank God and Greyhoud, you're gone" and now that tune is stuck going 'round and 'round in my head incessantly.

That big diesel motor's a-playin my song
Thank God and Greyhound you're gone.

Thanks ever so.

I always enjoy the Old Farts columns. Reminds me of stories my grandpa, God rest his soul, used to tell about his younger, wilder days. My grandma always said about him "He thinks he's a tom-cat on wheels." We were never really sure what exactly that meant, but it seemed fitting.

Oh.. uh... not that I'm suggesting that either of you are old enough to be my grandpa or anything. Heavens, no. I mean, I'm old enough to remember when "Hee-Haw" was on prime time. So you're obviously not that old. Of course not. Are you?

Hey Cheesemeister (Roshi), Feral, Nutri and U.S., I don't want to get too corny and mushy here--it just ain't my style. But, nevertheless, I think it important to pass this on to y'all, as well as all the other kind souls who have commented favorably in the past:

Your feedback is not simply appreciated. Truth is, it's far more important than many people may realize and for more than one reason. No question favorable feedback serves as positive motivation for us (me and jackass), as well as the other writers and contributors to this site. Additionally, it helps the core administrators get a handle on what things are a worthwhile expenditure of time and effort for this site.

There are few joys in life greater to me than giving someone else some good laughs; some genuine humour. It's one of those things I love giving as well as getting. I know I'm not the Lone Ranger when I say that, either.

Don't think for one minute we're unmindful of the sources of the comments we receive, either. We are. There is a tremendous amount of intellect, as well as writing ability, floating around this place. We see enormous potential everywhere we turn, too.

We can all profit and grow with the candid support of one another. I, for one, have never viewed my time here as wasted; as killing time. I know I'm not alone on that, either.

Thank you. Amen.

You want candid support?

I say cut your losses and run as far away from wonderaz and fred as you possibly can. Go find yourself a warm island somewhere and try to eek out a living polishing driftwood for the tourists.

I'd say that's the best you could hope for at this point. You stick around though, and that fan is only going to stinkier.

I know, I know. When people ask for support, they always want you to convince them they are doing the right thing even though everyone knows they aren't. But I can't do that here. It's not my nature. You have to understand that I care for you enough to support you via good advice.

Hey Nut! Please don't get me all worried about you, i.e., surely you don't think fer one minute I was serious about all that bullshit I just spouted?

Awww, fuck y'all, anyways. I'm a little tipsy right now an' I got better thangs t'do. Joeycat's a-comin' over and I've got to make sure that jackass wonderaz is gone playin' bingo, or sumpin'. Amen.
