I personally have a hard time keeping track of the threads that I post in, not that I do all that much. But I was thinking it might be cool if there was an option that would run an automatic search that cross-references your name with any threads you posted in the last time you were here, or even better, threads that have posts in them since you posted last.
I know that I could just run a search under my name and look at the dates, but that's too much effort.
Or maybe I should pay more attention to what threads I post in. I just hate forgetting that I posted something, discovering it later only to find that someone responded to what I said and I never continued with it.

i like this idea. it would be nice to know if someone replied to your specific post without having to search the entire forum for the thread again. and sometimes, when you're just in a bad mood, you just rant in about seven threads. then, you go to bed and wake up happy. now how the hell are you supposed to remember which people to apologize to for ruining their threads? hehe.

Clicking search, putting in your name and clicking the pull-down seems pretty easy to me.
We also have the link on the forum index page for today's active topics.
And finally, you could always click on the "email this thread to a friend link", sending them to yourself, for each one you post in. You'll need do nothing more than click on URLs in the emails in your inbox to go directly to those threads.
We're reluctant to spend much more time on forum hacks and reporting features with a decision about a new forum imminent ... it might turn out to be throw-away code with little yield for the effort spent.
yeah, it really isn't that tough to run a search on your self. It would be cool to see if there were any posts after yours, but for the most part this really is pretty unnecessary I admit.
especially when the person suggesting the change has an average of 1 post a week for his residency in the asylum;-D
