but this is something that should be remembered. war isn't something you forget, regardless of the political views that cause them. you have to remember everyday ppl are intricatly woven regardless of political views. and us as those that haven't experienced it have to respect what THEY went through

Thought instigatiing (more than provoking).

I say rememeber those who cared enough to give their lives for what they believed in and strive to hold a love of something to that degree. But work to ensure that although you are willing to die for it, you never will have to (or cause others to) do so. It is also important to remember that the opposing view you are willing to kill or die for is held in equal esteem by your opponents, so perhaps it has some merit, at least worth living for.

But lest I appear critical of this piece, I close in agreement. In the words of Tom Hanks in Saving Private Ryan: "Earn this."
