I do them every so often, but only one is online, done in 1997 oil on panel, 3'x3'

Many of my self-portraits are photos, most of these were done in art school for projects, here are a bunch of my faves:

I really can't explain this one, it came from a dream I had:





this is a character I played in a short film, I was a bass player in a cheesy lounge band that played "Oye Como Va". That hair was like a helmet they used so much spray! I used to wear the fun fur dress when I played in my own band, it was a great costume.



This image is one of a large series I did for my grad project, they were transferred to fabric and then stretched across 20 wooden frames that were lit and hung cascading from the high ceiling of a small room. I got hypothermia shooting these, the water was way too cold and I was in for many hours.

awesome use of colors and i love that cat. that cat would make an awesome icon

that's kewl, I can almost picture a female's figure with the flames, as if the lady (the flames) is holding her child secure, (the black figure)

that first pic is the ... "OMG ARE YOU OK?!?!" kinda pic it's definitely an eye opener. I liked that one. but i hope that's paint.

inky, your photos are SOOOO cool.

i interpreted the bloody one as a suicide attempt in progress, but with a pleasant smile.
