!!!New Forum, Questions Here!!!

Okay, this thread will be used for any questions you have regarding the new forum software and all the bells and whistles contained therein. Apologies to Inky for stealing her thread.

First, before you ask any questions, look up at the menu bar on the top right of this page and go into your User CP. In there you will see Edit Profile and Edit Preferences, and if you look around in there probably most of your questions will be answered. (things like titles, time zones, e-mail notification, etc etc).

Secondly, realize that just because you see a new forum doesn't mean we are finished. Not by a longshot. We are at best halfway through, so a lot of things are still left to be tweaked, ironed out, worked with, etc etc. So lots of questions, such as bringing back old threads, points carrying over, threads not being topped, shit like that we are already well aware of and will be worked out shortly.

But, I know I've got plenty of questions, so I'm sure you all do to.

Fire away.

sticky means it will stay at the top until its 'unstuck', good for announcements and shit.

the paperclip means theres an attachment, you can attach a file to your post from your own computer, for instance someone with no webspace can still post a pic by attaching it to a post.

I think that email notification should not be the default, but I have found that you can turn it off if you edit the message or go into the user cp and unsubscribe.

Also you can put private events on the calendar.

Hmm I may never have to leave now.
