First off, this forum is here at the request of squee. It was set up for that reason and if the Tribals wish to use it, great. Welcome to it. I agree with his statement, "To paraphrase some horse sense...it ain't about the board, it's about the people in it." THe THT had a good forum and a good group of people, some of which also post here.


It is a place for the Tribals to use as they did the THT and under the guidlines that they consider comfortable to them. This may include a bit of deleting and cleaning up of threads. That will be the nature of this forum.

I don't want to see anyone coming in here and making asses of themselves in an attempt to disrupt the forum. If you don't want to play by the rules of this forum, please take it back to TLF, anything goes there. I will note that this can be considered a specialty forum just like Art and others where there is more guidlines than in TLF. As we want those guidlines respected, respect them in here.

If you Tribals are interested in using this as your forum, I suggest that you get together, chat, email, here, whatever and decide what you want as guidlines and who you want to moderate. We will set them up and sticky the guidlines to the top of the forum.

You have the same autonomy here as you did in THT except you can lay out what you want as a group.

Asylumites. I am asking that you show some respect for what I/we have done here. You all wanted what you have in TLF and the rest of the site so let this place be what it is supposed to be.
As I stated before, I have interest in this. I was a long time addmin in THT and liked the place and the people in it. It wasn't run like Asylum and the people there were content with that. If that is what will make this place work for them, then it can be run the same.
This is not saying that you cannot participate anymore than you could in THT, just please play by the rules.

Give me some feedback, Tribals.

Take it off the forum lists so that it is invisible to other browsers.

That will stop people sticking their heads in and trolling and also give more a sense of privacy.

Is there any way to change the colors on this forum alone? I think differentiating it via color scheme and taking it off the forum list gives it a bit of individuality that is more likely to instill a sense of THT-ness as oppposed to sub-asylum-ness.

Just a thought, intended for the best. But I've had a bit of wine and am afraid I shouldn't be posted stuff in ths state. I mean only the best.

If it turns out THT (as we know it) is dead. Should / could we approach RW / Strider / Bumox over maybe transfering the old THT thread Db over here?

It would be easier if the old threads were still about.

I understand why people would be wary about running this forum over here, but it is an extremely generous offer. Think how much RW was forking out to keep this place (THT) running a month. What is being offered here is essentially free hosting and bandwidth with almost carte blanche on the setup.

It's all very well to say its not the same yadayadayada, but if we (THT regulars) don't pull together on this to make it work we really are looking a gift horse in the mouth.

For myself I'd like to see this place sectioned off from the forum list, maybe (if possible) get the old backgroud back, get our old posts in here, have Kol and Wonder as co-admins.

Much thx wonderaz I haven't been back to the forums here in a while, but after reading a few other things besides just this here THT forum, I think I might just stay for a while, even when the Hypertribe opens back up...(though THT, is, and will always be, my home...)
