I just read an amusing article in my local paper. Apparently, a mountain lion is romaing the couthwest side of the city and eating small pets. Some of the residents are quoted as being 'frightened', yet the DOW has no intentions of doing anything.
Good for the DOW, these idiots buy homes on the side of a mountain, do some landscaping and put out trashcans. This is a massive windfall of food for deer, foxes and raccons. Guess what the mountain lions eat? Not mention that the deer population of this county is staggering due to a lack of predators. GO MOUNTAIN LION! Eat the damned deer so they quit standing in the road staring at me.

Oh the DOW also reports a dozen fatal mountan lion attacks in the last ONE HUNDRED years.

wow, I can understand people being fightened. I would be. I'd hate to have my kitty turn up as lion dinner. but you do have a point, you can't build a house on the side of a mountain without dealing with the wild life, and I think the lion was there first.

hahahaha! That reminds me of inner city coyotes in some california city a few years back. Some woman cried in the newspaper that she didn't feel safe leaving her 2 year old outside alone anymore. When was it ever safe to leave a small child out on its own? She was quite vocal about having DOW come out and trap and kill every coyote around. I wish they'd trapped and killed her instead, adn found a more worthy parent for her child. People suck.

It might also be conjectured that living on flood plains or in regions prone to forest fire brings its own rewards. I mean, do it by all means if it's legal but don't be surprised if

a) You die
b) You die uninsured.

HAH I love this.

I've heard about this before in california. People keep moving into wilder territory, and then are SUPPRISED when the animals appear.

Nature was here 1st, she always wins, she will PEE ALL OVER YOU!!!

BTW 2 yr olds make the bestest lion bait
