Interesting thing about Tortilla Flat. Steinbeck just hung out with a bunch of the migrant farm workers (like he used to do as a child) and paid 'em like 2 bucks apiece to tell their stories. He incorporated these into his book. It was quite nice. Wow, it'd be something awesome to own an original printing of that book. Who wants to give it to me for my bday in Feb?
