invasion of the creepy red things with dots
Ladybugs are cool right? They are good luck right? Plus they are harmless.
Somehow I have ended up in a Ladybug swarm. They are crawing all over the back of the house, not just one here and there, but all over. They have also worked their way inside and crawl on the windows and fly around lights. Tonight I was watching TV and counted 7 in the lamp. Usually Ladybugs don't really fall in the category of 'bugs to squash' for me, but this is ridiculous.
Anyway, now that that is off of my chest....

Ladybugs want to get near heat.
My friend did a photoshoot one time with a model who was covered with lady bugs and they all gravitated to her crotch and armpits.

Smear the north wall of your house with peanut butter. Place a raw egg in the toilet.
That will get rid of them for sure.

We get lovebugs around here. Once a year they just swarm all over the place. Your car gets covered in squashed lovebug goo that just doesn't want to come off. It's also a tad disturbing when a mating couple lands on you. But it is kind of fun to pull them apart, I think it pulls the male's penis out b/c one always dies when you do this.
We also get stinging caterpillars once a year. I don't know what their name is, but they are a greenish black with lots of spikes. They are everywhere so you can't walk barefoot for at least a month. When I was in elementary school my best friend and i found a way to pick them up without getting stung. We'd throw them at all the prissy stuck up girls. It was fun.

Well today I have had three people tell me that these are some sort of japanese lady beetles that actually bite. They are trying to find places to winter, that's why they are getting in everybody's homes. I thought maybe they were attacted to my house for some reaon, but it turns out that they are a problem for everyone around here this year.

It's called "swarming." Say it with me: swar-ming.
A hive of bees decided to move on, and they were using your house as a rest stop. You should feel blessed.

I was walking downtown a couple of weeks back and my friends had to stop four different times to pick ladybugs off of me. one was on my shoulder. one was on my back. The other two landed in my hair..

As indeed should you for your pubic lice.
