God no! The fools! They are going to spray open ended wormholes from crop dusters over the US! The fools! I warned them! I BLOODY warned them! Carbon nano-tubes unrolled through n-dimensional Hawkingspace will unleash forces UNSEEN BY HUMANITY. Micro-black-holes will chew through SIX INCH STEEL before unstoppable fusion reactions, semi-sentinent super dense anthrax spores and ...
Is this the sort of bad science you were talking about SG?
I read a book by the name of Quantum Psychology which explained why multiple personality disorder is a good thing, and how it stems from overlapping universes. Or something. Inappropriate use of the word Quantum intrigues me.

Michael Crichton wrote a book called, I think, 'timeline' which has some horrible physics explanations in it (although the stuff about medieval France was cool).
The attempt to include physics (not quantum physics, though) in fantasy in A.A. Attanasio's three books about Merlin is particularly horrible.
Threw most of the others away, though, so can't remember titles. I read a really dodgy one about quantum computing and the 'universe of minds' and 'many-world'/Everett quantum mechanics, but can't remember the title.

Quantum Psychology and its 'prequel,' Prometheus Rising,' are excellent books. Quantum Psychology isn't necessarily intended to refer to psychology via quanta, but rather indicates a radical shift in understanding psychology akin to the shift that quantum mechanics required in physics.
