The Flathead tribe (Western Montana) used to do the head-shaping thing. I have a book with a better pic than this, but no scanner.

They knew what they were doing, though. I think head-shaping may be the only body mod i could approve of.

By now I should know not to read stuff like that. It pisses me off so much, and baffles me as to how anyone could do that to their own child. Here, let me try to reshape my baby's head. It won't hurt him. DUH!
