As to why my daughter would be terrifyed of gum? I was just chewing the stuff and she freaked out and cryed. Blew a bubble and poor girl ran to the other side of the room. Had to throw it away before she'd come back to me. As far as I know, she doesn't have any expierence with gum...I've chewed it before. Just struck me as strange.

My little brother was afraid of flowers until he was 9 years old or so. He had a dream when he was 3 about flowers eating him.
Maybe she had a bad gum dream experience.
