anyone who's a baseball fan has heard about Bud Seligs horrible idea to 'save baseball', which is really in the best interest of the billionaire owners and will be a horrible blow to baseball and it's fans.

He wants to, and claims he will contract the leage (ie: eliminate at least two teams). My hometown club is most likely one of them, not because it's a logical choice but because financially it benefits the owners most. The Twins have a 40 year history of hall of famers and two world titles, the first club to have more than 3 million fans in attendance in one season, and this last year finished with a winning record despite one of the lowest payrolls in MLB. There are much better choices, such as the FL expansion teams with no history and no fan support, although the best choice would be to not eliminate any teams.

Done. This really is assinine. Why expand the league just to contract it a few years later? Professional sports is just a business now. They really care nothing for the fans. Losing the Browns was one of the worst things to ever happen to Cleveland and a large part of Ohio. Fans here are still recovering, and many will never watch the game again. :/ Good luck dingle.

I was surprised to see the Twins on the list.

The Expos averaged an attendance of like 7,500 last year and have no TV and radio deal. I think the Toledo Mud Hens do better than that.

My roommate is a DIE HARD New England sports fan. Like if the Patriots lose, he is in a TERRIBLE mood all fucking day. He takes it personally if anybody points out how much New England sports teams suck.

Anway, a bunch of guys in this dorm asked him if he wanted to get in on a fantasy football leauge. Oddly enough, he had no clue what fantasy football was; I had to explain it to him (which is funny because he's a huge sports nut and I am decidedly not).

What's funny about all this is now he gets to watch his teams lose in real life as well as in fantasy; so he gets even more pissed every Sunday.

Maybe you sort of have to be here.

Uh, guys, in the new baseball labor agreement contraction issues were postponed until 2007.

And Art Modell should be put against the wall and SHOT, but only after 24 hours of letting Cleveland fans torture him in very creative ways. The man is in insult to the sporting world. To this day I cannot watch the Ravens without wishing them to all burn in hell. (Bob Irsay should be next in line.)

And as for the Cards, Arizona should get on their knees and beg St. Louis to take them back. Some major league bribery would also be in order on this one.

i'm not jumping onto the angels bandwagon you old coot. i'm a BASEBALL fan. the Dodgers are my favourite team. that doesn't mean that i disavow the greats, even when they played for other teams. i'm saying that my opinion is that the angels will go to the big show. overall, i'm quite happy with the way i've predicted things in the postseason. other than the dodgers, i've been right so far. i just need the fucking giants to lose for me to be totally right. i couldn't be happier about the d'back's loss, btw. it's kind of nice for the cards, what with them losing one of their best pitchers in such an odd way. it really brings down a team. so, lick my anus.

I'm from the DFW area, so the only thing I can point to with pride in regards to baseball is the observation that Nolan Ryan can really throw a punch. That has got to be my favorite baseball moment - him with that guy in a headlock wailin on his mug.
