i can't find my remote.

I know the tv is only about three feet away from me. but i don't have the security that I have when i'm holding my remote. what if a commercial comes on? i'm going to have to lean over and uncomfortably fumble for the channel buttons. and then i'll have to stay in that position while i flip around. And what if i want to see what's on channel 53 when i'm on channel 32? i'll have to flip all the way back and forth with out the number keys and the flashback button. my god i'm so miserable.
