and you thought we never listened to you! (psst...contest!)

rav asked in the suggestions forum if we could spruce up the place a little for the holidays. maybe put up a tree, stoke up the fire, and sing drunken carols over wonderaz's supa dupa eggnog. after many days of deliberation, which included much nodding of the heads and many lapses of coherent conversation, it has been decided:

the moderators are much too lazy to do such a thing.

BUT...we're all for the members of the asylum decorating it for us.

so, without further ado, we announce the ASYLUM DECORATION CONTEST!

here's how it's gonna go: take a screenshot of the front page, and decorate that picture for the holidays. you can use any medium you wish- photoshop, bryce, flash, etc. entries can be linked here, or sent to the head mods (paint, wonder, G, joey, dingle). we're still working out the judging system, more on that later.

the first place design will be turned into a splash page for the entry to the asylum! that's right kiddies, your hard work will be available for the world to see, a representation of the asylum for the week of christmas.

deadline on this is 12/19, so get busy people! (remember to make this somewhat tasteful kiddies. this WILL be on the front page, and as much as we all love beaver shots under the christmas tree, we're not a porn site.)

we'd really like to see a good turnout on this contest. don't let this fizzle like graffiti, yo.

now get going!
