I would have if I had any clue..
but I don't..
I'm just chilling here all sleepy-like..
waiting for someone who does know of a free 3D art program and is willing to answer your question.. then I will also look into it for myself.. yes.. I will..

go thru www.computerarts.co.uk

they have some freeware stuff and a lot of 30 day demos of things

also milkshape 3d (don't have a site for it) is a shareware that i don't think expires - at least it didn't last time i messed around with it

and if you go to www.discreet.com, they released a lite version of 3dsMax called gmax. it was made to give the gaming community a free and fairly powerful 3d program to create models & things for the current FPS games.

Actually, I won't be back in my dorm till Jan 12th or so.

And some free 3d programs are pretty nice, though often they're difficult to use. Anyway, here are the free 3d programs I'm aware of.
