This is the view (and the focus) for me as I got off the bus at around 0600 a block from the office:



Geno beat me to work this morning. We have an early meeting every Monday morning, and apparently neither of us had prepared over the weekend:

Speaking of the office; here is the place I work. My desk is right in that big window up front on the bottom floor, so I can watch the freaks walk by in this very freaky neighborhood:



Leaving work I catch the 17 bus homeward across from the Uptown theater. This place is pretty nice inside, and they show great flicks:

I got off the bus a block from home to catch a view of my block. It looks pretty bleak from this view, but Loring Park and the Basilica are to the left, and our window has a great view of both that and downtown (when it's not frozen of dripping):

Took off on a field trip downtown to schmooze and goof off. This is Let It Be Records on Nicollet Mall. It's a decent new and used record store. Saw some old Frijid Pink 45's and some Beat Happening here:



This is the view north down the Nicollet Mall from in front of the NewsRoom. It's about 5F and a bit breezy right now:



This is the Lumber Exchange building. I heard they were gonna tear it down a while back and were stopped. Sounds like Dallas:

Here is Adam at the coffeehouse where I used to work. I stopped in on the way to the store to get goodies. He's a sweetie, but he looks like he's 9. He's actually 19 now, I think, and a big stoner:

This is my buddy Ryan. He gave me a ride home. He broke up with his girlfriend tonight, and I think he's gonna get tanked:



And finally Matt makin pizza bread for us tonight. We're gonna sit in front of the TV with the tree lit up and sip champagne. He is, anyway. He don't like me drinkin:

SP, I thought I told you. I take managers from places like BK and give em better jobs in the restaurant biz. I'm a headhunter. It's like a protection racket in the restaurant industry; either you get managers from us, or we get managers from you.
