as everyone has probably seen, the main page hasn't been updated in quite awhile, due to lack of interest in most of the subject matter.

what would you like to see the asylum do with it? seriously.

some of you might be too new to remember that the front page used to be updated quite frequently with user's input. so let's have some now. what would interest you? what would you visit the front page to see?

i was thinking something along the lines of that myself. remember when we used to have to suggest points to people in the suggestions forum and such? i think we should have a suggestions thread perhaps, for posts/threads/artwork, etc, that we feel should be posted on the front page for a day or two. new people could get a look at the best (or worst) we have to offer, and older members might see something that they missed if they're gone for a day or two.

Understand that Morg was right, lack of interest on your part does affect what we do.
Inversely, when you all show interest, we do react (well... maybe not with the speed of hermes...).

i know that alot of you guys are creative people. give us some ideas of what you think could make this site better. i mean, how many other websites do you know of that gives it's users so much control over the design, layout, etc?

personally...i still want my advice column. but i don't think it's going to happen.

i have too much on right now, but after may i will gladly contribute anything film related that i ahve, i keep posting my essays in sensory overload because they are boring. i have a story that is 24,000 word long that is unfinished and i could do with some motivation, maybe i could contribute that, or i could do film reviews, just some ideas.

graffit was also good, and the caption competitions, questionaires etc...

thats all i have for the moment i hope it was too dissappointing....

-I like SP's idea about Graffiti.
-I'd like morgana to do an advice column, let the people that send it in remain anonymous.
-Let Nute do a dialogue with the thumbnail pictures of famous people. That was fun as hell.
-Have the mistress-of-googledom Sphinxy, give some fun or interesting links she has found throughout the web
-WastedP with tidbits of trivia

Unless there is a "reason" or action associated with membership in the asylumn, there is no reason to have a frontpage that does anything but link to different areas of the site. Now, if like some boards I could mention the goal here was political discussion, or discussion of video games, or what-have-you then I could see having news tidbits and whatnot about current events or internal happenings among members--but I don't see any of that happening.

Leave it the way it is.
