Favorite Song of the Moment.

Spiritualized - Shine a Light.

Tragically Hip - Cordelia. Now, as ever.

What I've gotten into the most recently is "The City" by the Dismemberment Plan.

My favourite song right now, or the one I'm listning to 4 or 5 times a day atleast, is Rollercoaster by Spacemen 3.

I like Spiritualized too but I must say that I like Spectrum even better. I don't know how much you have listened to any of them but listen to Spectrums album "Soul Kiss (Glide Divine)". If you think of what Jason Pierce brought from Spacemen 3 to Spiritualized and then what is left of Spacemen 3 you find in Spectrum, more or less. Drifting, floating, vibrating sounds and soft, echoing song.

Spectrum is Kember's band, right? I'll have to find some of their stuff. Spacemen 3 is fairly hard to find out here.

Wow .. there are US Spacemen 3 fans out there .. YAY!
For a long time Spacemen 3 have been my favourite band .. I have most of their albums on vinyl along with some rare 12"s and 7" ... I have Spectrums "How you satisfy me" on clear vinyl but I wasnt that impressed and didnt buy any other releases on the strength of it ... I always thought the Pierce stuff was way better than the Sonic Boom stuff anyways .. especially on my fave Spacemen album "Recurring"

Any band who can come up with the album title "Taking drugs to make music to take drugs to" have got to be more than just slightly awesome ...

Mmm .. there was another spin off band called The Darkside ... I *think* it was by member Pete Bassman .. anyone who has any of their stuff i'd love to hear it again .. my ex ex had the album somewhere and I didnt get a copy of it ... I search on ag already and found a million different bands under darkside but nothing that really sounds like the tracks I heard before ...

I like the new Spiritualized album .. but nothing beats Lazer Guided Melodies ..

Current favourite track:

Moby - We are All Made of Stars

Yeah, LGM is Spiritualized's best by far. I found Threebie 3 by Spacemen 3 the other day. Pretty cool stuff. The live version of Suicide is really great.

I found a Spectrum album today. Eh, it's more interesting than good though. I also found another Spacemen 3 album called Dreamweapon. Pretty good, but you know, I've bought 3 Spacemen 3 discs...and each comes with a slightly different version of Xtasy Theme...

His other band for all of one album. He then left the band before they could actually get to work on the second album (I guess he went into rehab) and Mad Season became Disinformation. The second album was never touched, and Disinformation never even did anything. That, and one member died.

"Above" was a good album, though. Now if only Alice In Chains would get off their asses or just officially state that they're no longer together . . .

hahaha

actually, i'm interested why you feel this way. someone i know (in a music forum) who lives in Holland hates what tiesto has done to the scene out there.

i can understand his pain. personally, i think hes pretty harmless.
