TV time.

I had a discussion with someone about the fact that I really could be happy with only four TV channels: CBC, Fox, Comedy, and Teletoon.

What channels do you prefer? Do you feel the same way as I do about lack of interest in most of the shit they put on TV?

hell, i could do without most if not ALL channels, just a few shows

in no particular order (and with no justification as to why)

Andromeda
Earth: final conflict
smallville
stargate sg1
oz
simpsons
malcolm in the middle

as for channels themselves, i could live comfortably with showtime beyond and the action channel - the rest is just extra =)

Comedy Central, TLC, and Discovery are pretty much the only channels I watch.

After 4AM I have to switch to Animal Planet because everything else goes off the air.

Ocassionaly I'll watch Fox, VH1, and a movie on USA or TNT.

That's about it.

Showtime (For Queer as Folk)
NBC (for ER, Friends, and Will and Grace)
Discovery Channel for Sunday afternoons
ESPN (for Indians games and Sportscenter)
VH1

Too bad you can't just pick and choose.

I watch hockey, the West Wing, and nothing else on live TV.

Of course, I only get about thirty channels or something... (only? well, I've got a remote with an option to select 100+...)

I don't have this "tech TV" you speak of... nor do I have the gameshow channel. If we're doing TV shows, though, here are a few I don't miss:

Simpsons
News Radio
Kids in the Hall
Undergrads
Drew Carey Show (although it's getting old)
Who's Line is it Anyway? (Clive is better, but drew has new ones)
and recently I've been into watching movies. That's about it for must see TV.
