It's not their fault. They're a Boston team. The fucking Celtics used up all of the city's karma. Their "Sweet 16" years doomed us to a solid century of "close, but no cigar" seasons. Of course, it had to be basketball! I hate basketball!

At least the Bruins seem to have realized how agonizing it is to see them almost make it every year, so they're just blowing their whole team to shit, to spare us that pain. If Sinden lets Anson Carter go, I just may do something rash...Like move to NY and start rooting for the Rangers and the Yankees. And fuck, the Jets, too. Why not?

On a related note: I fucking hate NYC.

I think, just generally, the larger issue at stake here is the fact that the Americans are perenially pissed off at how similar they are to the English, and vice-versa. Both of you seem to share more in common than you are prepared to admit.

Perhaps. My objection to the idea of living there is based more on the day to day aspects. Like the food, and dental hygiene, and the whole monarchy thing. All matters of personal taste/what you're accustomed to. I don't have that big of an issue with them, politically...except, of course, for the whole Irish thing.
