Here is his reply to a bunch of questions about some new writing deal he has with Marvel Comics. He went through a thread on this comic board and pulled out the relvant questions and addressed them.

I read through a fair amount of that, but I haven't collected comics in almost 10 years. I actually didn't even know that Smith was involved in writing for them, I just thought he was a fan-boy.

I wonder if I'll ever get back into comic collecting.... There were some great titles and wonderful artists back then, but the cynic in me can't help but wonder if they aren't reusing recylced sludge by now.
