i think that's the only show i could say shouldn't be there. if that can make the list, where's 90210? not that it's necessarily a BAD show (*coughyesitiscough*), but it certainly hasn't earned a spot next to those others.

Rockford files was fucking great.

I like CSI quite a lot (not that it is on there).

Hill Street Blues was great (no NYPD Blue there, or did I miss it?).

Buffy is hilarious, it should definitely be on there, just for Spike alone.

It has always amazed me how highly the Yanks rate Seinfeld! I'm not a huge fan of US comedy sitcoms anyway but I have always found Seinfeld to be appalling.

the above shows are the only ones i watch (watched) religiously. yes, even friends.

seinfeld is a bunch of arse. i just cant find any humour in it. at all.

buffy is the type of programme people frown upon untill they begin to watch it. genius it is.

i agree with seinfeld being at the top. i think it was a turning point, sitcom-wise. i still watch the reruns when i see them.
i like the recurring-joke aspect, and the history within the show. like "george is getting upset!"
stuff like that. the way the separate plots usually all tie in together in some way at the end is great. the writing is good.

I'd put Twin Peaks at the top. I really hate some of these shows, but I'm no general viewing audience.

I disagree with Vegas. I was narrowing the list down to the ones that I agree with and I cut off like half of the list just because shows pre-dates me.

I agree with Seinfeld, not number 1, but certainly really high. I don't understand what the objection to it is, really, besides "It's not funny", which is subjective I guess. Interesting that it's the limeys who don't like it.
