This is a preliminary inquiry regarding the planning of the next big PISSUP!

We all live in different places, and lots of ideas have been thrown about, but as nice as it would be in reality we all cannot fly to London or Sydney or Borneo. We have to remember that the vast majority of our members live on the east coast, so logically our pissup should be in the New England area. No, this isnt fair to the people who have to buy tickets but remember the whole purpose is for a meet, not to see *insert landmark here*. Excluding 10-20 people who probably would show up if they didnt need to buy a ticket defeats the purpose of a meet.

Other locations arent out of the question, if you want to argue some other location feel free to (in another thread). Las Vegas is included here because it is the cheapest place to travel to in the US by far, and was the original intention of our first pissup.

So, please answer the following questions, and DO NOT answer with 'yes/no' type answers. Please put a reason or explanation for each option, even if it's only a few words. Something like 'That would be great' or 'that wouldnt work cuz ill be in school' or 'i could make it but would prefer Borneo' etc. Give as much information as you can, including the liklihood tht you could or would make such a plan yourself.

Keep off topic discussion out of this thread plz.

Vegas, mid-late August. It was our original plan to do it there and I think it'd be cool to actually follow through. Besides, I'm sure the packages they have for Vegas are super cheap. Who can beat 99 cent all you can eat buffets and legal prostitution?

Of course, anytime is fine for Vegas really.

i'd be pretty likely to show up in vegas, i think. especially in fall. i'm still unsure as to whether i can get to virginia, but if i can't the odds of my being present in vegas would be around 98%.

Yep In all honesty the only one that looks good to me is Vegas arounf late august or September.
Being way up here in Canada flights anywhere inside North America are fucking expensive. Unless you fly to Vegas which is always around $400 max. and thats round trip with a hotel room.
Flying anywhere eles would be too much, unless it was held in Germany or Scotland where its also cheaper to fly to then going to DC.

any other city but Vegas, especially DC. the only reason behind my not wanting to go to Vegas is that I don't want the older crowd to leave us youngins feeling lonely....

as far as dates.... I prefer October, but September would be nice
August and the summer months are bad with school starting and stabilizing the summer job without having to take off too much work...

Newark is cheapest for limeys to fly to, as a rule, if you were wanting any of them to turn up (I guess that NYC and Philly are closest to that).

I am not sure about prices to Vegas from London, although limey school holidays (jully and august) would be expensive to anywhere.

Philly grew organically from nute coming and meeting up with goatboy, I discussed coming too, then more and more people said that they could make it, but it would have been cool with only a handful of us too.

Best thing might be to have a natural drinkie thing for a few that builds up larger, rather than trying to organise it to be big straight off.

you know, no matter what happens SOMEONE (or group of people) is gonna get ailenated. be it forigners or underagers or whatever.

as bitchy as this sounds, I don't nessarly WANT underage people coming to vegas (if we have it in vegas), although there is other stuff to do there besides drink and gamble, odds are that the majority of the people going will be doing just that... or getting Rosh a hooker

if we go to NYC or DC, or any other place such as that... we can split up and do touristy stuff and see interesting things, and then seperate later and the older people will drink (aw hell a few folks will be drunk all day and night again). I think any other city, like baltimore and Pitts, will see about the same shit we saw in philly, where the majority of people hung out at the hotel and the bar....

SO leme ask this, what kind of event do we want this to be?

part of me thinks that a few of us should just make concrete plans outside of the group (decide on a place, time, etc) and if other people wanna come, they can come. That's how Philly happend with Nute and Goatboy.

I kinda agree with PMG. There's just no way we can get everyone to agree on a time and place. I'd be willing to give up my trip to DC on July 4th to go to a pissup, but I have to know soon so I can switch vacation time. Not August...preferable not September, and never at the last weekend of a month.

DC, fourth of July.. there is a smoke out.. fireworks.. people camped out across the mall and up to the big pencil.. bands.. and crowds of extremely drunk people.. it's great.

because i am going to Denver, San Francisco, and Possibly las Vegas in august i would say august, preferably on the weekend around the 21st, cos i will be there then anyway.

otherwise i would say NYC cos flights are cheap, and i would say october to allow me to actually sell something to get the money.
