Look, Stile, I love your site, I even dig your writing, but read what I said in Meenk's thread. I still stand by it all.

I agree, it is your site. You can do whatever the fuck you want with it, but that doesn't mean we're all gonna roll over and let you shove the shit down our throats. Also, don't forget that this site thrives because of the hits it recieves. We are the voice of said hits. Alienate us, kill the site. You'll still get hits, but we are the reason this Forum is one of the best on the internet. You start banning Anti-Stile, Wonderaz, or whoever, you kill that. Don't think you're such an icon that you can fuck with anybody you want to. Push the forum people too far, you'll lose them. Unlike most of your fans, we CAN think for ourselves.

Yes, we all knew there were moderators before. Big fucking deal. The point (which you seem to have missed) is that before, they didn't delete whatever they thought was dumb. Having moderators doing that is censorship, plain and simple. Fuck, man, you don't get the tyranny intrinsic to that? You run the most evil site on the fucking internet, and you are pro-censorship all of a sudden? What the shit is that?

And now you're banning people? Anti-Stile, MstrG, social parasite, etc etc etc. These are the people who give the Forum color. You know it, I know it, the American people know it (to quote Ross Perot). Banning them makes your Forum bland and worthless.

And sure, load time is a consideration. But riddle me this Batman, why not take the 100+ suggestions for new software, get a Forum that runs better, and not have to worry about dumb posts? Why not do that? You still haven't answered that question. Get better software, and this would never even be an issue.

And I am happy that you've finally spoken up. You needed to, and I now rescind my coward comments. At least you're finally trying to defend yourself. But if you think you are above flames, you are sorely mistaken. You and I disagree on this point. No big deal, to be sure, but still, I refuse to bow down and take an ass-reaming without saying my peace.

Oh well. Anybody else have thoughts on this?

The big bans started around early June, and went on for a few weeks after that. Our chat started on June 6, and bans shortly after ... some Asylum Profile project threads were deleted prior to that.
