ok so far we have had injuries to David Beckham, Steven Gerrard (will miss the world cup), Nicky Butt, Kieron Dyer, and now we have ..........Danny Murphy who injured his ankle in training this morning. i think the england midfield is jinxed.

Becks will be fine. We just have to hope that the argies dont attempt to hack him down or try once more to incite him.

but yeah, we have probs. i still think Anderton should have gone. Hes form dipped towards the end of the season - but he never fails England and more importantly he has gone the WHOLE season without injury. ironic really that he wasnt selected.

i still think that the english left side should be occupied by mr Le Saux. he had a good season, and this query about his mentality is bullshit, if Danny Mills can get in the squad why can't Le Saux?

actually i think we need a holding player in midfield, someone who can protect the back four, only thing is i can't think of any, they all seem to be french players who one thinks of in this role, Viera, Petit, Dacourt, Ince and Batty the last players who did this kind of work. who is similar to Gerrard in this way? Lampard? i dont think he is up to it just yet, and who else is there?
