this incident happened at the end of season trip to the USA in 92 when McCarthy was still playing and Keane had just made the breakthrough to the senior squad.

on Keane's first trip away with the team when Charlton managed - they went on the lash and Keane arrived down to the lobby half an hour late for departure. Jack went off on one "Your first trip, 19 years old, and you keep us all waiting , who the fuck do you think you are?"

Keane walked past him and said "I never asked you to fucking wait."

Apparently he is not that popular in Ireland right noe, although Man Utd fans are 100% behind him apparently (and we all know that having 100% support from Man Utd fans means that you are wrong).
