Cool JTHM / Zim / Squee / Lenore / J Vasquez / R dirge fans ...

I love Johnny the Homicidal Maniac .... I love Squee comics and I love Lenore (created by Roman Dirge) ... Vasquez is like the comic creator version of film director Tim Burton ... he's just slightly darker than Burton ... a combination of them both working together would be awesome

I dont really know that much about Vasquez .. or what else he's done .. the same with Roman Dirge ... or for any other similar style comics really ... I know and have a copy of Dirge's Monsters In my Tummy ... but other than Lenore thats about it ... so I'm asking for you to post any info .. opinions .. or links you have on the above ... or recommends for other stuff that I may like because they are similar .. or whatever ... biographical info on the authors would be good too .. their histories and such ...

In return I offer this link ... which is episodes 1 - 19 of Zim .. the cartoon created by Vasquez ... the dl is pretty fast and it lets you do two at once ... it gets busy sometimes .. but it does work ... so if youre a fan be patient .. it's worth it ...

Also .. any information/links on Zim or related spin offs would be appreciated .. how many episodes were made ... future projects etc .. anything ... my knowledge of Zim is pretty limited too ...

Links I already have:
Lenore – animated episodes 1-18
JTHM
JTHM
Slave Labor Graphics
Roman Dirge

For those of you who don’t know who he is ... this is JTHM

i recently got catfat a copy of dirge's "something at the window is scratching." it's basically a collection of one to two page stories about the most pathetic little characters you've ever met. great stuff.

vasquez also puts out I Feel Sick (or used to) which is where the Spooky character came from. i also have the BAC (bad art collection. it really is horrible, my brain hurts if i read more than one page at a time) and two of the Filler Bunny comics.

ta-dah.

ditto what logan said, but add a filler bunny plastic toy. yippee!

i would recommend "arsenic lullaby" by douglas paszkiewicz (correct spelling)

it's pretty sick stuff too.

when I see JTHM I think of JBMH, which is different but so much cooler.

vasquez went to a high school in the district i teach in. in fact, it was the school i nearly transferred to before i decided to give up on san jose forever. i've driven past slave labour graphics a few times now. i just need to find jhonen and stalk him for the next week or so that i'm still here...then life will be fun and full of homicidal maniacalisms...yessss.

I've always been into the mainstream stuff, x-men, DD, marvel and DC and all that fun stuff...but I did pick up lenore, and I'm lovin' it. Not stuff I realate to, but still creative and cute.
