There is this big leagal thing going on in Seattle involving a teacher and her 'relationships' with her son's 14 year old friends. Aparantly she's messed around with them and jacked them off and stuff. Big deal.

So I turn on the news. And they've got the bed-spread from her room and have zoomed into the alleged semen stains.

Now that was gross. I don't think they should be showing that sort of stuff on the news at 5pm when families are watching. The last thing I wanted to see today was a crusty dried out blob of a 14 year old's spat.

What do you think?

I'm much inclined to agree. One need not repress the news in order to exhibit discretion. That should have been confined to the 10 o'clock news.

I think sex sells and that the news is about the act of selling not informing. Fuck, have you seen the ratings on informative shows? BOOOORING! We need pizazz, fun, excitement, sex, violence, and white people doing it.

Personally, I think watching people getting gunned down or fire-bombed is more offensive and damaging that a close-up of a teenager's cumshot. And those are a lot more prevalent on the evening news.

I find it more sickening that news stations will show anything, as long as they feel people will want to hear the story. Just face it, nobody would bother watching the segment if they didn't say "little boy jizzes for hot teacher, show at 10".
