i would assume it was a misfire..or the latchs dropped...and it clunked to the deck and ignited..luckily ones like that have a minimum range before they arm..i bet there were plenty of people shitting bricks when that happened as well as the DO (Deck Officer I think) asking that very question...

"WHY WAS ONE OF MY GODDAMN MISSILES SHOT OFF ONE OF MY GODDAMN PLANES ON THE GODDAMN DECK!?!?!?"

sucks to be that guy..luckily it didnt hit the tower or go down the lifts into the intererior...where the other planes..fuel and ammo is...

I don't know, He might have found them on the internet, or what not, I know the camel and the LAV are pictures that he took.

He may have just added them other ones in there, and not said that they weren't taken by him.

Anyways, there pretty neat, regardless of the photographer.

i don't understand then. did he differentiate between the pictures when he sent them to you? how do you know that the other two are absolutely his photography skills but you didn't know that the others weren't?

Thanks ... brings back some thoughts when this happened years ago on the USS Forrestal ... See - http://www.chinfo.navy.mil/navpalib...-forrestal.html ... only they were not so lucky...

Was that a Marine Pilot by chance ... a Navy Pilot would NEVER do such a thing as lose his missile --- Oh Well that sucks none the less!!!

- You're such a moron fuckstick. No pilot should ever "lose their missile". Why? Combat aircraft have safety contingencies inherant to their architecture which make it IMPOSSIBLE to fire a missile while they are on the ground. If a missile WAS fired, there was obviously a malfuntion in the electrical and/or computer control systems. Idiot.
