As soon as I got to the line: "Twice, the mouse cursor has done that poltergeist trick where, with the actual mouse stationary, it drifts three inches due east and then stops. For no reason at all. Works fine afterwards though. Brrrrrrr." I couldn't stop laughing.

My ThinkPad 390E (vintage May 1999) does that from time to time and it drives me mad, though that seems to be the least of the problems it has...
