National Football League 2002 Season

Who's going to make it to the superbowl this season? will it be the Rams ? Can the Patriots have the same impact they had last time around? Will the Broncos be able to fill the space left by Terrell Davis's retirement? and will E. Smith finally break Walter Paytons all time rushing record?

discuss all of this and more, here!

p.s.
who does you support anyway?

Nice bitch slap by the Pats on the Steelers tonight. 3 point underdogs at home indeed.

The Lions are looking worse than ever. Our new coaching staff is starting to make people long for Wayne Fontes, and that is bad.

I dunno if my Pats will repeat, but I have to say that the Steelers looked like shite last night. Which makes me happy. And warm and fuzzy and gooey.

i dont know hoow much of an effect paying away from SOldier Field will bother the Bears.

i was well pleased with the Broncos beating St Louis. that was a good result for the Broncos. And the Raiders had a good start as well. that AFC west conference is going to be a two horse race me thinks.

Personally i dont have a team. Simply cos i dont live in the US, (yet). Teams I like watching are Buffao Bills, Denver Broncos (i have a TD shirt) Washington Redskins (the first team i watched in a superrbowl Wash Vs Denver) Chicago Bears, Oakland Raiders, thats about it.

i think washington look good this year, and i think Chicago have a good chance.

I'm a Chiefs fan. Naturally, the chaos in Cleveland warmed my heart. We have one of the top 5 offenses in the NFL, and possibly the very worst defense.

I'll go with Rams-Dolphins in the Super Bowl.

Well if the field is 110 again it sure will suck for them.. It sucks that they will have no actual home games. I think it is a bonus for the home team that they can wake up in their own bed and drive to the field that morning instead of having to bus or fly a day or two before hand. Luckily enough it looks like alot of fans are packing the temporary stadium so that is good..

Go Bears..

Yeah i decided, i have one AFC team, and one NFC team. Broncos for the AFC and Bears for the NFC. Notre Dame is my college team to support.

They're one of the league's most intriguing teams. They hired a very controversial college coach with an intricate offensive philosophy that has generally put a lot of points on the board in the past.

They've run up the score in the preseason and won their first game handily, but their toughest tests are coming over the next three weeks.

i use to follow americna football years back. when i say 'years' it was around about the time with the 'in' teams to support over here in the uk were: dolphins and the bears.

i dont pretend to understand the game as a whole, and the stop/starting pains me. but yay for the cheerleaders and yay for the superbowl. thats always a great show.

american football (personally) is great when watched in a highlights show. and like baseball, i do tend to follow the star players and look out for any records being broken.

for some reason i supported the redskins. cant remember why.

Indeed DI, holy hell the Jets backup QB almost did as well as Testaverde (however you spell it) did (which is NOT saying much)
Troy Brown is going to the Pro Bowl this season easily.

They are on paper and on the field, better than last year. With arguably the best coaching staff in the NFL. No 'supesrtars' but great role players and great depth. Two games against two 'premiere' teams so far (underdogs in both) and they made them both look like the cheerleaders would have had a better chance of winning.

Chiefs next week.

Execution and discipline are overused terms, but thats what they have been doing in their last 11 straight wins.

Now as a New England sports fan, I will live in terror that I jinxed them by talking them up.

Miami 21-13 Indianapolis
Jacksonville 23-16 Kansas City
Tennessee 13-21 Dallas
Detroit 7-31 Carolina
Tampa Bay 25-0 Baltimore
Chicago 14-13 Atlanta
Cincinnati 7-20 Cleveland
New England 44-7 New York Jets
Green Bay 20-35 New Orleans
Arizonia 24-13 Seattle
New York Giants 26-21 St Louis
Denver 24-14 San Francisco
Houston 3-24 San Diego
Buffalo 45-39 Minnesota
Oakland 30-17 Pittsburgh

Tonights game is Washington Vs Philadelphia.

the AFC west is a two horse race now between Oakland and Denver, after the Broncos beat the NFC west's best teams on two succesive weekends. The Denver D has been most impressive.

Chicago just managed to hold Atlanta two go 2-0 for the first time since 91.

The Patriots are it seems on course to prove to that last years Superbowl was not a fluke.

Expansion team, entered the league in 1995. Great coach in Coughlin. For a relativley new team they have an excellent winning percentage. Nice win on Sunday against the Chiefs at Arrowhead. That place is a bitch to have to play at. One of the best 'homefield advantage' stadiums in the NFL.

Sadly, not even 110 decibels of crowd noise can save the NFL's worst defense from itself.
